Cleaners – Holding Hands With Ms. Wisdom
For an extended period of time, three families have used two formulas to Clean Windows & Mirrors, and two products that work very efficiently as Fabric Softener and chemical remover. Their conclusions were that they save money, they do not expose members of their families ~including their pets~ to toxic chemicals, and they are glad to know that they make the environment smile.
All of the above warrants an article to present you with the same benefits. It is wise, however, to first elaborate on important facts and guidelines to keep in mind.
1.- Do not not mix Bleach with Ammonia. It is advisable to not mix Bleach with any product at all. When diluted correctly, it is safe enough to be used alone; and highly efficient to kill bacteria. So, let it do its job and leave it alone.
2.- White Vinegar is not costly. It is, nevertheless, real good at disinfecting, deodorizing, cutting grease, and removing tarnish.
3.- Sodium Bicarbonate is also known as Baking Soda. It is a marvel as a mild abrasive, whitener, deodorizer, and water softener. One use that is highly recommended is to make in your clean hand a paste of Baking Soda and some water, and then pick it up with your Tooth Brush to brush your entire set of teeth. You will not regret making it a habit to do this regularly
4.- Washing Soda is also known as Soda Wash. In many ways, it is similar to baking soda. However, it is more alkaline; and therefore, it is more powerful. Use it with caution. Same properties as Baking Soda but more intensive. Do not use it to brush your teeth with.
5.- Castile Soap is made exclusively from vegetable oil. The better quality Castile Soap is made with Olive Oil. It is an effective and mild cleaner.
* Two efficient and trustworthy cleaners *
* Fabric Softener - After you started your top-load machine ~but before water level fills to the top~ add one cup [8 ounces] of Baking Soda. In front-load machines, add the Baking Soda to the machine’s container labeled Softener. As the rinse cycle starts filling the machine, add one cup [8 ounces] of White Vinegar. Ensure that there is enough water for the vinegar dilute with the water as you slowly pour it in.
Baking Soda works wonders to soften your fabrics, and it will make more active the Laundry Detergent’s cleaning ingredients. During the rinse cycle, White Vinegar removes Laundry Detergent residues left behind and trapped in the fibers of your fabrics. Let this two friends do their job, you keep the money of commercial products, and keep your family away from unfriendly chemicals.
* Window Cleaner – You have below two different formuals that can be used for cleaning both glas and mirros. You may use a spray bottle with a built-in pump. Ensure that you label that spray bottle. Also, it is highy recommended to use Distelled Water to avoid the harshness of minerals found in tap water.
Formula 1 – 1 cup [8 ounces] Rubbing Alcohol + 1 cup [8 ounces] Distilled Water + 1 tablespoon White Vinegar.
Formula 2 – 2 cups water [16 ounces = 1 pint] + 1/4 cup [2 ounces] White Vinegar + 2 drops of Dishwashing Liquid.
Should you decide to benefit from all of the above, it is unlikely that you regret it; and do not let the simple formulas lead you to believe that they may not be efficient. Just be thoughtful in using them, and enjoy wisdom !
